Buchmayer
winery from Pillersdorf is located close to Retz and family run since 1767. Thomas
Buchmayer, inherited his passion for wine. Together with his wife Maria they
take care about 20 ha of wine yards. Thomas Buchmayer emphasizes the fruitiness
of white wines in typical Weinviertler style which is fruity, try, full bodied
with a lot of extract due to low yield. Red wines are produced through
traditional mash fermentation, matured in big oak barrels to reach elegance and
fruitiness.
